My Cup of Coffee

That evening spent here was all worthy.
That sleepless night battling with palpitation and tachycardia,
All the effort had been paid off.
For once I feel alive with Psychiatry.
For once good grade makes me smile,
in the midst of a post traumatic state.
Pats self.
Good job Wendy!

Psychoed by Secrets

iTunes has been playing Secrets - One Republic for the 84th time since this afternoon and I'm feeling so much like how the song goes. This is craaayyyzzzeeee! But the song speaks just how I feel now.

The New Clinic

Was idling away time at my aunt's clinic on the opening day. She'd been on a hiatus for more than a year, doing the housewife job, and now venturing into the medical field again. The hundreds of guests who arrived were packing up the hallway, I stayed at the consultation room exploring the high-tech system she's using for patient's queue and data recording. Wow, I think I'm the last outmoded creature left, I was so amused by the technology in the clinic. Simply slotting in MyKad for registration and everything will appear right on the screen. No handwritten history taking. It's all in the technology. There's a consultation room, treatment room and counseling room. That's probably where I'll be doing locum some time later. Awesome. It's cool to have a path all laid for you.
Okay. Someday I'll be called a doctor. LOL. That's the ECG machine behind.
Yikes. Was actually surfing Facebook! :p

Pure Malaysians

Friday night, singles-fever spree.

Carol called me that evening and asked if I'd like to have a hang-out at Pure Bar, since she has never been there. I had promised to bring her there some time back, so yeah, yesterday was just good to fulfill my words to her. It was my first time walking into a club with just another girl beside me, and the thought of being unsafe there kept me on guard. True enough, the moment we sat down, a man came and asked where am I from and tried to buy us drinks. Yes, I hate people with body language like that! I turned him off by saying, 'We have a talk going on, can you please leave us alone?' Horrid pest asked, 'Can I join you guys after you're done?' 'I don't think so' I replied. That was so effective, he walked away! Me and Carol giggled at that.

Then the guitarist from the band playing that night came to us. The funny thing he asked, 'You guys are not lesbians, are you?' We had a great laugh after that. He actually thought that Carol played the guy part and I, the female. -_-||| We chatted for a while and he randomly asked, 'Are you Malaysian?'. 'Yeah, why?'. 'I thought you are a korean!' he reacted. We watched him play, he's a real cool guitarist from the Philippines.
Then we saw this lady sitting alone at a corner. She came and greeted and introduced herself as Riri. She was gorgeous! We can't keep our eyes off away from her thereafter.
Carol babe is always good with sexy poses and looking beautifully natural in front of the camera. I tried imitating, but PHAILED!!! Totally not suited to be sexy, =_=.
We met Mooham too! And there was this bunch of little kids who thought I was a China-girl. How sad!
After party, I was a little hungry and went eating again at McD. Sigh, I seriously need to control my diet to get rid of those baby fats. The face is getting chubbier each day.
Carol stayed overnight at my place and we had a good talk that night. All the catch up about our ongoings and the girlish gossips. Before I fell asleep, the final conclusion that invaded my mind was, I'm a Malaysian and I can't find a better nationality to fit my looks. Weird.

Happy 48th!

It was my dear housemate, KoonLing's birthday on Monday and today is ChernLin's. A very blessed and joyful birthday wishes to these two sweeties. They both had a conjoint celebration tonight and everyone is on for a steamboat dinner. Since they are both 24 this year, a double 24 makes up 48. So, HAPPY 48th, darlings. This year has gotta be such a fruitful year to the both of you. Lovesss. ♡♡♡

I carelessly flushed down one side of my one-week-old brown contact lens when I was sanitizing the lenses. It was like flushing down Rm65 within a week and the sad thing was I had only worn it thrice! I still have a side with me, yet I can't do anything about it cuz the second pair I'm having is green in color. Sighhhhhhsss.... Chern Lin suggested that I should complement the brown with green. Perhaps I should just listen to her and make myself the weirdest girl out on street with a pair of brown and green irises.

BB Cream

Let's talk a bit of beauty today, shall we?

I beg pardon. I'm not trying to be a braggart here, but I do get compliments from people about my skin once in a blue moon. Exactly, once in a blue moon and not often. I had the tendency to skip my routine application of beauty products and leaving my skin dehydrated and peeling at the end of the day. Just how pathetic to have a dry skin, yet I did not give a damn when I got really slothful with the hassle of doing such procedures. I'm slightly industrious now after I got sounded by someone. I'm taking the effort to slap on some softener and moisturiser daily since 3 months back and the result is noticeable, I suppose? Cuz my friends noticed the same too. At least my effort has not gone to a waste.

Just in case you are curious about the product I'm using currently, I'll keep you in check.
Facial cleanser - Shiseido purifying cleansing foam,  Elemente USA hydrating facial foam.
Softener - Shiseido white lucent brightening refining softener, SK-II facial treatment essence
Moisturiser - SK-II signs treatment totality, Neo-Strata ultra-moisturising cream
BB cream - Bio-Essence bio-multi-effect BB cream, Skin79 the oriental gold BB cream

Alright. I'll give my review on BB cream here, BB abbreviated for Blemish Balm. It's a skincare or rather a healing product commonly used by people who's undergone plastic/laser surgery. I first came to know about this after reading an article in CLEO. I was pretty much amazed at those reviews given by public. When Bio-Essence launched its product here, I bought it and since then, I became a fan of BB cream in every dolling up affairs. Keeps my skin moistened. I don't use much of the normal foundation anymore cuz it seriously dries up my skin. Even Anna Sui's turned out to be a failure when it touches my skin. The effect of Bio-Essence is satisfactory so far and it is economical. I do not know the current pricing cuz I bought mine at Rm59.90 at the roadshow. I decided to go for a change recently. So I've been checking out the Korean Beauty Square in Jusco and they have Skin79 which is much more costly. I finally had it purchased, the Oriental Gold BB cream recommended by the promoter which comes with a lipgloss/blusher at Rm149 a bottle. It blends well with my skin and appears to be more natural looking after application as compared to that of Bio-essence. I have yet to see the long term effect though. Bio-Essence has Vivian Hsu while Skin79 has Jolin Tsai as their spokespersons. Which do you prefer? :)

p/s: I was googling for the product and it pricked my heart. Some blogs were selling it at a much cheaper rate, almost 30% off the price I purchased :( Imma do online shopping starting from this moment.

Ladies Night Out

Planned for a steamboat dinner with the babes to celebrate Sing Cher's post birthday, my lovely housemate in Manipal. It's been such a long while we dined in such a chilled out atmosphere, cracking jokes after jokes and laughter that tickled our hearts. Me, JeeJian, MeiYuan, SingCher and SooHong were in the same group during our last 6 months in Manipal and we basically saw each other almost everyday, hence the close bonding developed since then.
JeeJian & MeiYuan
SooHong & Carol
SingCher and ZuWei

We went over to Station-1 to support Carol who wanted to try out as a part-time singer there, at the same time, surprising SingCher with a cake!
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY DEAREST SING CHER!

Malacca Historical Day

Thanks to history, we got a day off. This is what I call bliss when I was awaken by my own biological clock rather than the annoying alarm which I snoozed continuously. Chin called for a movie today, Haunted Room: Who R U in the afternoon which turned out to be not as good as I expected. It's hard to get a good horror film nowadays, no?
Sushi King is having a promotion on all rice based sushi at Rm2. Since it's so cheap, we decided to drop by the brach at Jusco.
I'm not someone who take fancy over Japanese food and I hate the idea of taking something raw. So when I pick my order, I'll take the fried stuff. I saw this plate of 'i-don't-know-it-is' tempura and since it was fried, I took it from the belt. It was a plate of fried fish skin to my horror when I lifted the cover and took a closer look. ZOMG. Skin is the part that freaks me most when I eat fish. I'll always scrape the shiny skin cover before biting. So I had to take down a plate of fried skin which at the thought of it made me nauseated. I decided to forfeit that plate since it was just Rm2. Before we paid, the waitress came, counted the number of plates and saw the leftover fish skin. We had to pay the original price for any leftovers. Yeah, being a little cheapskate, me and Chin struggled to finish that plate of horrible tempura.
Trying our best to savor the skin, but PHAILEDD!!
Taking big gulps of green tea after each bite. =_=''

Mirror-image-cam-whoring at Brands Outlet.

I hadn't been home for the longest time ever, say a month? it was partly due to the hectic schedule and never ending exams and the other half was because I don't have the urge to travel back home. Mom called again to ask if I'll be home tomorrow. No, I replied. She'd been doing this for the past 4 weeks and must be curious with what her daughter is up to here or prolly misses me too much. The latter one makes more sense. Once a fortnight, she'll give every possible excuse to visit me here which I don't think it's at all necessary.
