If sorry could turn back time...

Tip tap, tip tap. That was the melodious raindrops that trembled my eardrums before I entered my sleep and somewhere at the end of a nightmare, I was awaken. With the same melody ringing, I drew my comforter and fell back into dreams. 11.30am. The room was gloomy when I coerced my sleepy, shadowed eyes to brace the streaks of luminosity coming from the windows and the light had not hit the gloom on the gray since then. Four years ago, that was the weather I loved the most when rain ruled the climate and went on for days in Manipal, not giving the sun a chance to emerge. Now, after 24 hours and counting, I'm ripped into melancholy, not to mention engulfing all the bluesy music I could have possibly gotten from Youtube.

I chanced upon this song by Anthony Neely entitled Sorry That I Loved You. Pleasing melody yet touchy lyrics. A friend left a note of appreciation, thanking me for posting it. The lyrics expressed all that has been stomping him and how he wished it's conveyed to another girl. Having a relationship that puts forth a question mark plugs another relationship from beginning. That was what he tenderly told me. After a talk, I realized this is the note I wished I had received few months back. Sometimes memories are just there to haunt relentlessly yet there's nothing you can do about them.

The Roaring 1920s

When our class representative announced the date for this year's annual night and it would go with the theme, The Roaring 1920s, I was trying to recall what it was for last year. Red Carpet that was, yet I couldn't recall what I wore that night. It was only after some time I remembered I wasn't there but somewhere else for a good dinner. That was a year ago and my memory is getting poorer, I persist.

So, 1920s' quite a tricky theme to dress up for. Even my grandma wasn't born in that decade. Most of my friends were already scouting for clothes and accessories while I was still mulling over a vogue to go with. I had no intention to buy a new dress knowing myself being one of those who do not offer my clothes a second chance. Whenever there's an event, I'd be tempted to get a new outfit which explains why most of my dresses are worn only once. My fashionista suggested a cheongsam cuz it's sexy. Oh, I don't literally mean I look sexy, but well, going oriental sounded like a good idea. Nothing fussy, nothing foofoo. Not even the gothic eyes I adore cuz my eyes were formed in such a way that they look peculiar when they're smokey. I could only waterline the lash lines. My hair was plaited and tied into a bun with Subi, my hairstylist, helping me with the hair do.

It was a good, long night after all, mounted with laughters when we saw our lecturers performing.

24th Birthday with Family

My birthday was sandwiched in the midst of a hectic posting till I'd almost forgotten I have a blog. Having a break in between has gotta be the best escapade. The newly wed had planned a short weekend trip to Port Dickson and importuned the whole family to be there with them. We had a chill out out time at The Legend International Water Homes which is a resort I would recommend if anyone of you will like to have a holiday at the west coastal region. Not for its polluted beaches, but this resort offers unparalleled level of luxury and comfort with a private pool in every unit and well landscaped garden. Nothing much we did besides fishing (which was non productive as usual), strolling, dipping into the pool (when my menses came at the most inappropriate timing but still believing that water pressure holds in the flow, I took a chance), having a game of gin rummy and shooting billiards. That was a simple yet warming birthday. Tell me what can be better than having people you love around on such a occasion?
