Sern Wang & Eik Hien's Wedding

The eldest grandson of the 'Lim' family is married! Congratulations to Sernwang kor kor (my second cousin) and his wife! That was one of the best weddings I'd attended with many touchy moments and good time of family gathering. I've always adored church weddings. I was born in a Christian family and was brought up under the teaching of the gospel. It became a very fundamental yearning that someday I'll get a chance to walk down the sanctuary on red carpeted aisle for the Holy Matrimony. I don't know if I'll ever have the chance cuz what happens tomorrow, who will know? Perhaps I will, perhaps I will not. It doesn't really matter when you know the person whom you're marrying to is the one you love, always and forever. It will always be an unceasing prayer to build a household of faith.

Household of Faith
Here we are at the start committing to each other
By His word and from our hearts
We will be a family in a house that will be a home
And with faith we'll build it strong

We'll build a household of faith

That together we can make
And when the strong winds blow it won't fall down
As one in Him we'll grow and the whole world will know
We are a household of faith

Now to be a family we've got to love each other

At any cost unselfishly
And our home must be a place that fully abounds with grace
A reflection of His face
Finally got a chance to wear this dress!
Solemnisation
Awwww....
A 'Thank you' speech to the parents that was really touching and cousin was filled with tears even before speaking. Words like 'thank you' and 'I love you' may seem too simply without expressive adjectives, yet they convey everything that has accumulated over the decades that no word can replace such gratitude. None of us could hold back our tears.

When in doubts

There are times when I keep telling myself this,
If you ever want something badly, let it go. If it comes back to you, it is yours forever. If it doesn't, it was never yours to begin with.

I'm tired of all these sick assumptions and pretending as if everything is well and good when I know nothing is right for me at this point.

Yet, I can never have the courage to let go cuz I do not want the latter phrase to be true.

The Salvation Army

Psychiatry posting - visitation to The Salvation Army.

Encountering children with learning disabilities isn't an uncommon thing when I'm in a profession which necessitates patience and a caring heart. Not trying to sound noble here, but it's a responsibility that has been laden onto my duty as a health care provider and I actually find joy playing with them. One thing I noticed was, they live in an uncomplicated world of their own and when they smile, you know that they are not faking it. They are truly happy with simple little things they find contentment in. Just how lovely when God gives His creations a fair share of blessing. They may be physically or mentally disabled, but never lack of any gift.

Toileting

p/s: No road is long with good company. Thanks for clarifying those doubts and fears, buddy. Hopefully we get to carry out the 'dream' we both share, someday, somewhere at a corner of this globe though it sounds really impossible. :D

Barbecue & Steamboat

@ Jiahong's crib. This idea came about after we successfully persuaded Yunyaw to make us his indomitable steamboat. Having a home party ain't easy, seriously. It would have been more convenient to dine out with lesser effort and lesser cost, but surely lesser fun as well.
Man-made-pit but it drizzled when the guys were almost done with the fire. We had to use umbrellas as shades.
Yours truly marinated the chicken :D *proud*
The amount of food we got for 17 people excluding the 70 pieces of chicken for BBQ, potato salad and garden salad. This is the outcome when Wendy, Shoebee and CT were told to go marketing with a chef who's at an extreme end for eating lesser than a girl and he went literally speechless when we pushed the cart back with smiling expressions. We picked up every single frozen food that can be eaten. Too many balls as a result. >.<
Nom nom nom. I had squidball in my mouth!
The best of all, barbecued MARSHMALLOWS!!! So good that I could just go on popping these tiny confections into my mouth if nobody was there to guard me.

The repetitive and intrusive thought of parting isn't doing any good to my mood. Keeps me feeling nothing but 'Vanilla Twilight by Owl City'. )':

No Strangers

So, anyone who's watched the short movie, Strangers Again, would assent with Josh's narration about the different stages of a relationship. It's not exactly a benchmark every couple will go through. It's more like the different choices of routes one choose to live with and how every problem is rectified from its root. Living in the stage of honeymoon and being comfortable all the time is not often possible, but not impossible. It requires every positive value to remain at these two stages.

I'm really glad to have someone as such in my life at this juncture. It's all about him who made me the princess of a fairytale that I never thought could have happened, yet it happened. And again, it's all about him who has given me his word of promise and brought it true to reality. I'd certainly wish for the best though I can't predict the distance where we can run. We started off as strangers. However, as strangers I hope we will not end up with because he's the one whom I've ever thought of having a future with.
