9/10/11 - Arrived in Bukit Mertajam just in time for lunch with Keston and his family at Swensen's. Both his parents were so hospitable we could hardly reject any of their offers. Left for the island right after lunch and we stayed at the housemen's quarters for two nights. I'm liking that place so much I don't mind working there in a month's time. Then we drove to Batu Feringghi in the evening for dinner at The Ship.

10/10/11 - We made plans to leave for Penang Hill at 8am for some fresh air up the hill, but as usual, we had it delayed for almost 2 hours after our routine dressing up game. Kid you not, we spent at least 3 hours a day dolling up ourselves - once in the day and once in the evening till the sight of my makeup case scares me off a little now. Talk about Penang Hill, that was my second visit and yet again, it drizzled like the first time I was there. We went for lunch at Passions of Kerala, a reminiscence of taste in India where we tucked into a hearty meal of thali and masala followed by shopping at Gurney Plaza and 1 Avenue to look for Tornglei's sandals.

Dined in at That Little Wine Bar in Georgetown that evening with Dingxin, Keston and their colleagues(hopefully mine too). A welcoming ambiance of the contemporary European wine bar and relaxing atmosphere, we had our share of white wine that evening as well. I ordered duck breast à l'orange (still can't pronounce the last two words) but it wasn't to my delight cuz the duck meat was medium well done (I eat only well done meat).
