Koreanophile

Another 8 weeks of posting accomplished. I'm officially done with community medicine and days of truancy are over as well. See just how time flies when P2S1 is two and a half months away and it's always at times like these when I should be slogging hard, I ended up slacking even more. But today is a good day to celebrate. No particular reason, I'm just happy at the way things move though end of posting exam was a bit of a screwed up case. :D

I blame it on mom for she introduced me to a new Korean drama called the Prosecutor Princess at the very wrong time which got me totally hooked on at ungodly hours. So you guessed it right. I was busy watching that drama rather than studying. I pronounce, the Hallyu wave is back! The slightest probability to why I'm so addicted to this drama is prolly due to the elements portrayed in this play. Be it the plot, setting, characterization, theme or point of view, all of them triggered my interest just right.

A conversation going on between my mom, dad and their daughter while watching Prosecutor Princess:
Mami: *taps on papi* wo men de nv er hen xiang ta (our daughter is very much like her).
Papi : *turns to mami*
Mami: yi yang de ai mei..(just as vain..)
Mi : WTH?? where got?! *grumbles*
Mami: see the clothes and shoes.
Mi : -___________-""" na li you la? (where got la?) get your facts right, ok!

Ok. The vainness was not an obsession to watch. More of like, I was obsessed due to its story line which embraces a bit of similarity to my own. I ended up spilling buckets of tears, enduring late nights and went to class in a pair of swollen eyes. It's been a while since I last did my eye-laundry from a melodrama. It was a good indulgence to have myself drown in and diverting my focus from reality once in a blue moon when a drama ends like every fairytale, "and the live happily ever after. The end." Don't you love this kind of ending as much as I do? :D
