大团圆

The paternal side relatives had stopped the tradition of dining together after grandma passed away, so all us go for independent scattered reunion. I still find myself being a foreigner to my them. 家家有本难念的经. That was the phrase I heard occasionally from my 外婆(grandma) when I was young. But still with a little effort engaged, we tried communicating in politeness.

Reunion dinner is often taken together with my maternal side of the family and having grandaunt who plays the chief chef for almost all our meals at home. She's the best cook, I reckon! As for this year, I was the last to reach home when everyone was already asking for my whereabouts. I skipped the job of driving the elderly all around town for groceries shopping as I would previously. That night was nevertheless filled with warmth and laughter, something what money can't buy.
YAMMMMMM TONGGGGGG!!!!!
