Weekend with darlings.

The long awaited weekend runaway ended so quickly. I'm absolutely missing my traveling partners now. Few weeks back, Mei Cher and I planned to travel Penang over the weekend but that plan did not work out due to some unavoided circumstances, we ended up in Ipoh which was certainly awesome. I was so excited knowing Bern could come along and offered me 2 nights of sleepover at her place in KL. All the lovely pillow talks with her made me felt so good I wished it was forever.
We ordered Domino's that evening and chilled out for the entire night. Mei and Chris came to pick us up the next morning and off to Ipoh, we headed!

My uncle and aunt were there to host us, providing us a proper shelter, brought us for food and even treated us for every meal. The best host ever.

Brunch at Foh San Dim Sum. Food there was pretty good but not to my delight. Probably because I'm not much a 'dim sum' person but the old school setting was beautiful.

We went shopping at Ipoh Parade just to pass time and allow the brunch to be digested before our next meal, the Ipoh's famous 'nga choi kai'.

After lunch, we decided to go home for a rest since there wasn't much to do there besides food and more food. Tea break time. Aunt served us a salted chicken and egg tarts. That evening, we came up with plans about making our itinerary more interesting and fruitful and so the idea of going clubbing at night surfaced. We were all prepped us for the nigh, dolling up like any other girls would do.

Uncle and aunt brought us for dinner at the food court at Simee and then dessert at the town. Food was so good, I nearly died from an orgasmic spasm with these delicious affairs!!

After dinner, I drove them out for the night which had been planned. Felt so proud of myself cuz I actually knew the roads in Ipoh! We headed for the clubs but to our disappointment, none of them caught our attention. We finally made up our minds to chill out at somewhere quieter and we found the place. Josephine which has a perfect ambience for a drizzling night like this with a glass of pina colada just turned the evening Christmassy. I love it!

Time flew without realizing that it was already 1am and we had to leave. Got back home for a good rest and the next morning, we did the most impossible thing in life. Waking up at 7.30am to go marketing would never be a chore for girls like us. But we did it! The hunt for strawberries in the market wasn't at all productive. Instead, we bought our breakfast there.

That was what we had that morning. Bern and Mei wanted to try the Thai Massage at Ipoh Parade after my aunt told them about the price and how good it was when she went for it. While they had gone for their massage, I went to get gifts for both my uncle and aunt. Couldn't appreciate their kindness better but to get only gifts for them.

Aunt brought us to the other food court for lunch. If only the food here can taste as good as those we had there, I'll be the happiest person on earth. :p

Before leaving, we went for a girlish shopping around the area where Josephine is situated. Clothes there were not too bad but a tad overpriced. Productive enough, aunt bought me a dress for Christmas!

So that was the summary about the whole trip. One of the best I had throughout this year. =)

Christmas Fellowship 09'

It's been a year. Time passed at such a fast pace I could hardly pilfer a bit from it to reflect on all the ongoing events. As I began to recall, I came to realize that the gatherings we used to have in Manipal were no longer practised in Melaka. Everyone leads a life of their own here. We hardly party like how we used to. I was really excited when Stephanie suggested a small get-together for a caroling session. The many restrictions and rules we have here resulted to just a simple yet heartening evening.

With much love to Steph, Zhong, Muhin, Deb, Asha, Mogz, Sam, Patrick, Koon Ling, Dr. Xavier and not forgetting my housemates too for allowing them here!

Debbie x Asha with their sweetest smiles

Dr. Xavier was here with us.

Zhong Shuin & his Indian elephant t-shirt. I like it.

The long abandoned guitar of mine had finally been put into good use this season. It went out of tune so easily, Patrick said it was haunted by a ghost. :p

It was jolly to have this fellowship. thanks Steph for organizing. I miss the caroling days in Manipal whereby a big bunch of us would go around, singing from one house to another. That was awesome!

Mom baked a cake for everyone. I hope it suited their delights.

ME x Debbie in Santa's hats.

Last but not least, FELIZ NAVIDAD to all!!

Here's a video of us doing 'Deck the Halls'!

Courageous attempt.

I DID THE DARNEDEST THING IN MY LIFE!!

Spending Rm360 for a cold perm cum hair treatment that retreated me back to the 60's! Alright, just kidding. My hair is so flexible now, I can style it any way I desire. The darndest thing has in fact got nothing to do with the perm. It's the FRINGE! I think I gave everyone a shock yesterday. My relatives went =O while my church members went @@. Grandma's the best! cuz she said, 'wo hen xi huan kan ni de tou fa. hen mei. hau siang ni xiao shi hou de yang zi.' and brushed my hair. Hahaha. Ok. I'll scare you before all of you scare yourselves.

Anticipating with a Joyful Heart

This year's Christmas is going to be a real good one. The initial plan of celebrating it in KL has been canceled. The 'Big M' wants me home since I had missed 3 long years of this festive celebration with my family. Thank God, I've been blessed with amazing people playing big roles in my life. A few of my besties had compromised with my situation and decided to return home as well. Love ya all, muchness. We'll have a memorable Christmas this year. I promise. :D

Notes to:
.:. Alvin, your Christmas will not be as bored as before. :) cuz your dear sis is back, finally! :p what do you want as a gift?
.:. KH, thanks in advance for the turkey you're buying! And also for setting up the Christmas tree in my house! :) We'll make it beautiful.
.:. Loong, thanks for agreeing to my whimsical demands, knowing you'd promised Weiwei to attend the Christmas party. More than being thankful.
.:. Weiwei, thanks for being tolerant to my requests! Am so glad that you'll be around this year to celebrate Christmas with us. Love you lots.
.:. Jen, don't know if you're reading this. But if you do and you're coming along, drop me a message. :) We've got deals, remember? :p
.:. MC, I'm so hoping you can come back and we'll have a great time together again. Those days we had sleepovers on the eve.
.:. Bern, for many years I hadn't been having you around for Christmas, I miss you lotssss!! Hope you'll have an awesome time as well.
.:. Abraham, guess you'll be in the U.S. for Christmas? That eve we spent in Pas Bill's place is still vivid in my mind. How you, MC, Jen and I ended up in the same room scaring each other with the story of CHUCKY.
.:. Evania, caroling days were the best! Applying mosquito repellent whenever we reached Mrs Soong's house. Have a great time in India.
.:. Mei Shu, your sis told that you're going to Taiwan. Awwww..... blessed Christmas to you in advance! Have fun.

MMU's Christmas Play

Was invited to attend MMU's annual Christmas play by dear Khaihong last night. It was a grand 1 hour and 45 mins musical drama entitled 'Run Isaac!' featuring a father's love for his son. There were more than a thousand people who attended. Such a good show it was and I could sing all praises about it. I was that close to tearing at the end. Berean AOG and the Neo Family had donated to the event as a support. So I was there with Joel, Aunt Ng and Aunt Huili yesterday coming all the way from BP. We were blessed enough to be seated at the second row, all thanks to Khai Hong for reserving the seats and we didn't have to queue up like the others. Sounded like a V.I.P. We were though. It was fun to attend such kinda grand event again after such a long while.

Garden dining

Of an elegant evening sipping Canadian White's 2006 ice wine, doing the Korean-style grills (yet again) and indulging in a paradise of chocolate fondue with fruits and marshmallows. All blended harmoniously with Kenny G's perfect pieces. Truly, madly deeply in love with this sorta 'posh' dining(as quoted by my couzie).

What a beautiful night.
