Bumming the weekend

Was on a great weekend escapade to KL. Thanks to the driver who drove me right up to MC babe's doorstep.

Anyway, this trip was all about shopping and clubs.

Friday night was relaxing. Lazing in the house with MC babe after dinner, a little bit of MSN, pillow talks and more pillow talks!! The little bit of chit chatting I really enjoyed.

Saturday was truly tiring yet never this satisfying. Started the day with a grandeur shopping at Pavilion. OMG~ The sales. So tempting but was indeed restricted by $. Had a momentary crush on Topshop, MNG, Zara, Nichii, Charles and Keith, Dorothy Perkins, Forever 21 etc. Sigh, but due to my current financial restrains, I had only purchased from Nichii and Topshop. I promise, I will be back again for that which I'd missed. We watched 'A Night in the Museum' that afternoon to probably confine ourselves to less shopping. Shucx. While I jokingly told MC, I don't mind having a blind-date for a day, provided that the fella is wealthy enough to sponsor my one day shopping. *becoming bimbotic* Anyone in Pavilion should have seen our desperate faces pining for money-fall-from-heaven.

#THIS PIECE!! *grumbles* I love this big-T and pink shorts from MNG so much while giving a second thought if I should get it. When I'd finally decided to buy, OMG, my size was sold out. *

#White trench coat from Forever 21. I wanted this as much too. But damn, why am I living in Malaysia?!! How do I wear it out especially when the freaking sun is tanning my skin every now and then? *MC grumbles on my behalf*

#Forever 21. MC absolutely loved what she was wearing. Too bad.....

We left Pavilion for Lot 10, where I had gotten yet another ring. It's so pretty! =) Then to Lowyat where MC got her hardisk. Finally was rushing to KL Sentral to meet up Bern babe and Chris! Had a good dinner at Strawberry before heading to Bkt. Bintang for clubs. Chris' friends were there too. Had 2 shots of Absolute Vodka before the real thing began. Our first round was Envie. 2 glasses for me. Still sober. Then Frangipani to actually check out the gays there. Our second round was at Gypssy where we had another 2 pin. By the time we realized it's time for home, clock was ticking 4am. Our stomachs were growling by that time. So we had supper just down the road and reached home at 5.30am. I'd never felt this tired that my eyes were close to shutting even before 2am hit. But, it was one of the best nights ever. I love it so. *thanks Bern for treating. I LOVE U!*
#With Chris' buddy, Yew Jin, the korean looking guy who successfully made MC screamed her guts out.

#Doing the 1,2,3,4 post.

#This is what girls do when they're drunk.

#Slightly sober now.

Sunday was fun. Did some shopping at Bangsar and was a productive day!

I have to keep this post really brief cuz I'm rushing to finish reading for surgery tomorrow. I seriously stressed!

The day I left for Manipal

While doing the Seventh Heaven slideshow today, I found this.

A slideshow I did 2 and a half years back when I left for India. Those were the days I got really homesick when all my loved ones are miles away. The buckets of tears shed, is something I don't ever want to recall. Time flies and I'm back here in Malaysia again! The land of comfort.

Night with Audrey

This is Audrey and John. Let me pen down a brief history between me and Aud. She's the hot chick I got to know from the YouthAlive forum roughly 6 years back and we had to opportunity to meet up at APYAC in year 2003. In year 2004, I incidentally found out that she was actually my aunt's church member and was very close to my cousins. When I visited my aunt at Ipoh that year, my family dropped by Teluk Intan and we met up. 2 years back, I found out again that she is actually in the same class in as my babe, Alicia, in NUS. And just recently I unveiled that she was from same secondary school as my classmate, Gaik Huey. Wow! It's hard to comprehend that I'm living in a small world. =)

Anyway, Aud was here in Melaka for a brief holiday with her boyfriend, John, from Florida on 3/5/09. Had the honour of being her tour guide since she had informed me a few days before. Brought them for Satay Celup and around the historical town on the first night. On the second night, we had a nice meal at 'Wok & Pan' and dessert at Nadaje. I was planning to give them a treat on both days but John was insisting that he should be footing the bill, and so the debate went on on who should be paying. He won. =)

It was a nice gathering with a long time friend and one of the time I really enjoyed myself.

Next up will be me in Singapore, I hope.

Koon Ling's bash

A happening Sunday night it was to celebrate my dear housemate's (Koon Ling) 23rd birthday. Was also the first birthday dining on a round table. Yes, sounds typically Chinese since we never had such fine dining back then in Manipal. It was always squarish to be exact. And so we decided to have that bash at a local restaurant which is supposingly quite famous among the Malaccans. We call it 'Bei Zhan'. Earlier on, we had made a reservation for a table of 16 and with a 12 course meal. I don't know if you grade this restaurant as being pricey, cuz the bill turned out to be Rm166. I couldn't remember what was ordered. Vaguely, there were chicken, ostrich meat, pork, fish, prawns, vegetables, beancurd etc etc.

This picture looks retarded by the time I captured it. We were halfway through the whole course. Suddenly, it crossed my mind that I spend most on food these days instead of shopping. Hoho. My waistline shall increase pretty soon, I guess. Wait, you must be wondering why but I'm not done with my story.

#Jee Jian, Steph, Mei Yuan, Gaik Huey, yours truly, Koon Ling
#My 2 other housemates, Eric and Tiang Hui. There's one more, Cu Guan who was stuck at the badminton court with Phang and Jimi.

#Ling's birthday cake, chocolate cheese from 'Italy'.

#The big bunch of us. The last gathering I had with them was during CNY.

That was our first round for the night. Yes, there was a second. The famous Satay Celup at 'Capitol'. Had to queue up before we got ourselves a small table for the nine of us. Gosh, I was seriously bloated at the end of the day till I could hardly fall asleep at night.

See the amount of food we had. *shakes head* Verdict says it's definitely delicious!! Now it's time to start burning off my fats, to the gym I shall go.

Jogoya

Food, has definitely gotta be my weakest resistance. The temptation to savor good food labels me as being a 'gourmet'. Note that, it is not gourmand. Anyway, after hearing so much about Jogoya, Jogoya and more Jogoya, I finally made my way there for its buffet lunch. Phang had two vouchers on the 'buy-one-free-one' basis. So with his 2 other friends(Tai Soon and Shi En), off we went to Starhill, Bukit Bintang.

We made our payments at the front counter before entering. The bill summed up to Rm202 for 2 and thanks to the vouchers, another 2 may join in. So it was Rm50.50 per person. The waitress ushered us to our seats at a corner of the restaurant. Ambiance is nice and the whole restaurant is very spacious. It was divided into many sections with various selection of food mainly the Japanese, Chinese and Western. As we walked along, we were greeted by the number of food right in front till we could hardly decide which to take. So I decided to take a bit of each from every section without knowing what I'm actually eating. The peculiar thing is I don't know the names of many dishes especially those which belong to the Japanese. I took whichever that looks attractive to me. I'm not exactly a fan of sushi and raw food. Hence that little of Japanese cuisine I picked and I didn't dare to swallow the fresh oyster.

I was keen to taking pictures at first. But I had to forgo the thought after taking a few cuz I realized I finished the food before I thought about taking out my camera. Sorry for the limited number of pictures. There are wines, gimlet, AK47 and a range of other alcoholic beverages as well. Being a goodie, I took only juices and 2 mini coconuts. Splurging on many fried soft shelled crab was almost heavenly.

Proceeded for the Western and Chinese as well. Roast lamb was really juicy. Even the shark's fin soup and 'dim sum' were irresistible. We had a good catch of steamboat as well.
After two long hours of non stop eating, the moment we were all waiting for finally came. We headed for the free flow of Haagen Daz! There were many flavors available and all of them tasted great to me! Even to the extent of mixing double shot espresso with Vanilla ice cream! God, it was just heaven!

So that was my first visit to Jogoya and hopefully more to come with the family next time. As for now, I had better start scrimping and saving. =)
