The start of being a MO

It's been two weeks into the life of a medical officer. I'm still floating in the medical department while awaiting for my transfer letter to come. So many had asked, "How does it feel to become a MO?". Well, decision making is hard and bearing the responsibility for every decision you make is even harder. I feel the tension and fear of harming my patients. When I was a house officer, it's relieving to hear the word 'DNR'. Now, I'm in a dilemma whether DNR should be taken even for a very poor candidate for active resuscitation. No doubt, I've learned a lot these two weeks. A million thanks to those helpful colleagues and bosses in the department and not forgetting my all time wonderful boyfie who's been there for me 24/7. It becomes easy that when I can't handle a case, I'll just give him a call and he'll plan out the management for me.

The only stress I'm facing now is the oncoming 7 oncalls within 3 weeks of time. Sigh, I feel so upset whenever I think about it and it's starting tomorrow! Basically EOD and boy, I have no idea how I'm gonna survive this. Hopefully all goes well. My previous oncalls had been really tiring. I can't wait for this to end, seriously.

Bestie's marriage proposal

Am home early today on a working day! Awesomeness! Thought I shall post some pictures here to keep this blog alive and updated. So early this month, I managed to meet up with my besties for a brief hang out. We had so much of fun, partly excited over Soo Hong's marriage proposal that night and that was the first time all three of us had our other half along. In fact a night we'd always been looking forward to. Our dinner was at Spasso Milano, Pavilion. Food there is good. Then our plan to convince Soo that we're gonna chill at Skybar (where Jk planned to pop 'the question') went on well. It was cool. So yeah, a lil bit of update like this is going to make me remember.

Waterfall and bubble bath

Just returned from a refreshing holiday over the weekend. It was fun, really. We didn't do much. Just waterfall and the hotel. Even that was already enough - a much needed non hectic holiday where we traveled in our own sweet slow pace. Of all the memories collected from this town last year, and we recollected more this year. Awww and I'm already missing it now. Such intense emotion etched in my memory. Thanks hun, for such an amazing holiday

Be happy like Elmo!

Come rain or shine, this has gotta be one of the best family trips with the elderly. Sesame street was just as awesome too! :D look how adorable they are!

Flashbacks

Taking some time to clean up the datas from my dear old faithful laptop when I started browsing through some really old chat history with some friends via Adium. As a result, it got me all nostalgic with flashbacks creeping in from year 2010. A phase of life where I met new people who had impacted my life in a way or other. My social circle has been pretty much confined to only a few close friends and my family since I was back in BP. I don't know if this is a healthy practice, but yeah it gives me the urge to meet those people who'd contributed at least some thing to my life just for a word of appreciation. (: I had only managed to delete half of the conversations saved throughout the year. There were some which I'd decided to keep cuz they're worth to be bookmarked and to be read again.

Black and white photographs

Downloaded the blogging app for iPhone and it's just a click away to be connected to the blogosphere now. That's pretty convenient I guess. Anyway, just to share a few pictures which I find them really awesome during my Hong Kong trip.

A complimentary photo shoot at the Olympian City when spent more than HKD400 with credit card in two different stores. We took many other peekchas at their 'I ❤ PARIS' themed layout.

Got these two nostalgic black and white photographs taken at Mongkok. And how we ended up taking them was a long story. Basically I spotted this photographer capturing these pictures on the street during our second night in HK and when I looked through some of his samples, I fell in love with them immediately. I was telling bubz how nice if we can have one taken too. Since we were all too tired, his reply was just 'ork!'. The following day at Disneyland, I teared when I couldn't even get a shot with the Disney characters. All thanks to the long queue and the crews for closing the park so early. I was literally begging the lady to let me in, just for a picture but she wouldn't allow. I walked away disappointedly and somehow I was feeling incomplete when I wasactually there in Disneyland yet there isn't any picture with Mickey and Minnie! A childhood dream I've always wanted to do. Lol bubz was trying so hard to cheer me up and the following day, he brought me to Mongkok for that two pictures instead. Boyfie is sweet as such when he doesn't bully me *feeling loved* Anyway, loving how good these black and white photographs turned out though we're not the best looking people on earth.

No update

Wanted so much to blog but I'm literally clueless about what to post. Having no update is actually an update, perhaps? Will come back soon when I get the vague idea. (: just to say that I'm enjoying my current department and life. It's good!
