circus

It's been a while since I last visited a circus. Oh, I couldn't even remember if I'd witnessed one. Anyways, I had a magnificent night watching the grand Bombay Circus at Udupi. Wei Yi and I had made a promise to go for ride on his new bike. So, off we went to the circus after a wonderful dinner at Kediyoor Hotel. We were half an hour late.

I let out a big 'Wow!!' at my first glance. It was huge. I mean, yeah there was a huge tent brightly lighted. Boy, was I excited! It was after all my first time. Probably. I wasn't sure though. After getting a slot for the bike, we hurried to get our tickets. Rs100 (Rm10) per person was pretty cheap, I thought. Got into the theater immediately and got ourselves comfortably seated.

Since we were half an hour late, we missed certain exciting shows at start. The night was superb. I hadn't expected to get the Rp100 worthwhile. It was simply beyond comprehension though the place looked slightly run-down. I shall just show a few pictures cuz my eyes were fixed to the stage most of the time that I hardly remembered to snap more.

Cosmo

I'm bloated with kilograms of food churning in my stomach now(close to puking) I'm that close to gaining extra weight. My appetite had increased uncontrollably over the past few months. Had just returned from a bout of eating binge at Cosmo, Valley View Hotel with my bestie. We just have the tendency and urge to order extra every time we dine together. We're simply two hungry creatures who go all way out for a full course dinner(starter, main course, dessert).

After studying the menu for 5 mins, we agreed on a few courses. Placed our orders and we waited. But while waiting, our stomachs growled nervelessly. I wound my way to the cakes and pastries counter and greedily ordered two pastries.

#Danish Pastry

#Apple strudel

And then came our dinner proper. It was seriously too much for 2 person. We were gobbling greedily at first when after half an hour, we started wobbling.

#Chicken in muschroom sauce

#Honeyed pork with rice

#Hotdog

#Yang Chow fried rice

Verdict: Weigh you own appetite before placing an order.

CNY2

I know I've been kinda busy recently and hence the lack of updates. Anyway, CNY is still on. 2 more days to go. So I'll go briefly about my CNY here. How did you spend yours?

I had a mini BBQ session this year. Nothing much of the grand stuff but it was purely eating, laughing and playing. So much of joy tucking in barbecued seafoods and poultry, we hadn't missed the card game(gamble, DOH!) Not heavy bets of course. I don't have big money to lose either. Thank you daddy for the set of traveler-mahjong. It came in purposefully this time to kill our boredom.Anyways, it was this season of the year I missed home a lot too. Reunion dinner with the extended family, meet-ups with the convent babes, visits to homes and red packets! Oh, just how regretful I was to miss all these events year after year. But at last, this is the last year spending lonely CNY here in India and I shall be home in a month's time for good.. =) *wink*

Happy Birthday to 'WenD'!!

Birthdays had always been great to me. Had a memorable one two days back here in Manipal and I would proudly say that this is my best birthday of all. It was just how sweet when your friends remembered that very day. I mean it.

Had a dine-out with my friends at Guzzler on the eve. I couldn't have been more thankful and touched the moment I arrived at the restaurant, only to realize that many of them were there to surprise me. T_T was blessed to be treated a decent meal as well. *you guys had never failed to tickle my heart* Soo, Scher,Ceu, Ssze, Phang, Hisham, Schung, Myuan, Xci, TH and Eric!

I received many startling pressies on my 22nd bash. First came was a pair of Sassari, Crocs from Phang which I hesitantly tried on cuz it was too expensive. Believe me, I still feel awkward receiving such a precious gift. I like this pair of slip-ons fairly much that I haven't allowed myself to wear them, just in case they don't look pretty anymore. Thanks Phang!

Then my humble surprise, I was presented the book entitled, 'P.S. I Love You' by Soo and Sing Cher. A gift I hadn't expected to receive at all. Was vaguely telling Soo 6 months back that I wanted to purchase the book cuz I loved the story way too much. But I ended up reading half of the book at the bookstore in Bangalore while waiting for my flight. And yes, I'm finally able to read it thoroughly! Thank you loverbabes. Hearts.

Mei Yuan and Xinci had got me a box of Cadbury chocolate. This box of choc was actually my Christmas-gifts-exchange wish. Lol. And also a bar of choc from Ning Xin and Hui Xin! Gawd, I just love you guys for filling my days sweet enough to last me a lifetime.

There were times when I wished that my days will be forever so eventful. And also a big hug for those who had remembered and wished me.

Christmas eve

Christmas eve was a beautiful one. Had a pleasant meal at China Valley with lover babe, Soo and buddy, Phang. Had always loved this sorta dinner. And no doubt the 3 gluttons who love food as much as anyone else really dived our stomach into a spread of foods this time. Was in a thirst for homemade goodies by mom as usual and how she tempted me with homemade chocolates, log cake and cookies! Anyways, dining at CV was undeniably great especially with friends who can really eat! Wheee~
Starter: Fried Wanton resembling lollipop.

Sweet and sour mushroom.

Roasted chicken

Hong Kong lamb
